Former Governor of Utah, United States, Mr. Jon Huntsman Jr. and Mrs. Mary Kaye Huntsman visited Taiwan with their two children from July 16 to 18, 2012. CNAIC Convener of Supervisory Board Amb. Ching-Chang Yen, attended by CNAIC Secretary General Fritz J.C. Jang, hosted a dinner party at Regent Taipei to welcome Gov. Huntsman Jr. and Mrs. Huntsman on July 16. Mr. John Chen-Chung Deng, Deputy Secretary General of National Security Council, Mr. Chun-Fu Chang, Director General of Bureau of Foreign Trade (MOEA), Mr. Bruce J.D. Linghu, Chief of Department of North American Affairs (MOFA), Mr. Alan R. Tousignant, Chief of American Institute in Taiwan Economic Section, and Mr. Thomas Fann, President of Ford Lio Ho Motor Company were also invited to join the party. At the party, Amb. Yen exchanged views with guests on ways and means to promote economic and trade relations between Taiwan and the U.S.
