CNIAC held 2016 Taiwan-Japan Business Management Forum
During his presentation, Professor Kouji Sakamoto talked on his 45-year field study on 7,500 enterprises. He elaborated the collective success tips of super enterprises and broke them down into 18 points, focusing on their business management in practice. Following the speech, Dr. C. C. Chen, Group chairman of Wan Hai Lines chaired a panel discussion to compare the business management between Japanese and Taiwanese companies. The two panelists include Mr. C. S. Lin (former CEO of Uni-President Enterprises Corp.) and Mr. Tsing-Yuan Hwang (Independent Director of the Board, Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd.).
Most of the audience was concerned about why a super Japanese enterprise would not set quotas for each employee. Prof. Sakamoto pointed that in contrast to “top down’’ approach, employees are self-motivated to set up their own goals respectively from a “bottom up” approach. In addition, there was a heated discussion between the panelists and the audience over employment of the disabled issue echoing the spirit of the human-centered capitalism.
