CNAIC serves as a bridge between domestic and international business communities as well as other associations in order to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation. Our Association aims to promote industrial and economic development and facilitate business sector in line with government policies in Taiwan.

Members of the European Parliament Visited CNAIC

Mr. Andrey Kovatchev, Quaestor of the European Parliament and Vice Chair of the EPP Group, and Ms. Isabella De Monte, Member of the European Parliament (MEP), called on Mr. Miin Wu, Board Director of CNAIC, on December 22, 2017. CNAIC Advisor Sheng-Chung Lin, Secretary General Liang-Tung Fan, Best Friend Technology Co., Ltd. Chairman Alex Lu, and CNAIC Deputy Secretary General Yi-Cheh Chiu attended the event. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the possibility of signing a bilateral investment agreement (BIA) and promoting trade and investment between Taiwan and the European Union.

Commercial Officer of American Institute in Taiwan Visited CNAIC

Mr. Matthew Quigley, Commercial Officer of the American Institute in Taiwan, called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC, on December 11, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on bilateral “Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement” and the “2018 SelectUSA Investment Summit”.

Commerce, Industry and Tourism Department of Miyagi Prefecture, Japan Visited CNAIC

Mr. Masakuni Oishi, Senior Supervisor of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Department, Miyagi Prefecture called on Mr. Chiu, Yi-Cheh, Deputy Secretary General of CNAIC on Nov 21, 2017. Mr. Oishi expressed appreciation to CNAIC for leading a group delegates to visit Miyagi Prefecture this April, showing gratitude towards CNAIC for arranging various company visits in Taiwan for business matching this November. Both sides exchanged views on both cultural and economic cooperation between Taiwan and Japan.

CEO of Miyagi Kasei Co. and The 77 Bank Called on Mr. Por-Fong Lin, Chairman of CNAIC

Mr. Oyama Akihiko, CEO of Miyagi Kasei Co., Ltd. accompanied by The 77 Bank in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan called on Mr. Por-Fong Lin, Chairman of CNAIC on Nov. 22, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the FRP(Fibre-reinforced plastic) manufacturing process, markets and applications in both Taiwan and China by means of cooperation between Taiwan and Japan.

Associate Professor of National University of Singapore Visited CNAIC

Mr. Yao Zhong Wu, Associate Professor of National University of Singapore (NUS), called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC, on November 1, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on NUS’s Chinese Executive MBA Program and co-organizing an international forum in Taipei next year (2018).

Principal Secretary, Investment Promotion Government of Telangana visited CNAIC

Mr. Arvind Kumar, Principal Resident Commissioner, Telangana & Principal Secretary, Investment Promotion Government of Telangana, called on Mr. Chiu, Yi-Cheh, Deputy Secretary General of CNAIC on Sep 20, 2017. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on investing in Telangana State.

Vice Chairman of Turkish Industry & Business Association (TUSIAD) Visited Vice Chairman Tsai at Fubon Banking Center

Mr. Simone Kaslowski, Vice Chairman of Turkish Industry & Business Association (TUSIAD), and Mr. Ismet Erikan, Representative of Turkish Trade Office in Taipei, visited Mr. Denial Tsai, Vice Chairman of CNAIC, at Fubon Banking Center on September 15, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on economic cooperation, agricultural collaboration and business expeditions between Taiwan and Turkey. At the end of the meeting, TUSIAD Vice Chairman Kaslowski invited Vice Chairman Tsai to visit the headquarters of TUSIAD at Istanbul to discuss future cooperation between CNAIC and TUSIAD.

President of Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Visited Vice Chairman Tsai at Fubon Banking Center

Ms. Sherry Menor-McNamara, President of the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, visited CNAIC Vice Chairman Daniel Tsai at Fubon Banking Center on August 30, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on Taiwanese investment in Hawaii and the future cooperation between Taiwan and Hawaii in the field of renewable energy.

Mr. Farkhad Pakyrov, President of Business Association JIA of Kyrgyz Republic, called on Mr. Sheng-Chung Lin, Advisor of CNAIC on August 23, 2017. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening trade and investment relations between Taiwan and Kyrgyz Republic.

Director of International Relations Department of BUSINESSEUROPE Visited CNAIC

Ms. Luisa Santos, Director of International Relations Department of BUSINESSEUROPE, called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC, on August 2, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on recent European economy recovery, unemployment rate, migrants and the controversial buyouts by Chinese investors. At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Fan invited Mr. Markus Beyrer, Director General of BUSINESSEUROPE, to visit Taiwan to discuss promoting bilateral investment agreement (BIA) between Taiwan and European Union.

Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association visited CNAIC

Mr. Mitsuhiro Yokoda, Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association (JTEA)called on Mr. Por-Fong Lin, Chairman of CNAIC on July 7, 2017. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on cooperation between CNAIC and JTEA. In addition, they discussed measures to enhance the bilateral economic relationship between Taiwan and Japan.

Honorary President of COEXPORT Visited CNAIC

Mr. Pablo Duran, Honorary President of COEXPORT of El Salvador, called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC, on June 22, 2017. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on economic cooperation between Taiwan and El Salvador.

CNAIC hosted a farewell dinner party for Mr. Mr Izuru Hanaki, Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association

Chairman Por-Fong Lin hosted a farewell dinner party at The Sherwood Taipei Hotel on June 6, 2017 for Mr. Izuru Hanaki who completes his tenure as Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association(JTEA). The dinner party was accompanied by Vice Chairman Ming Cheng Lin of Hua Nan Financial Holding Co., Ltd, Chairman Tsing-Yuan Hwang of KHL Venture Capital Co., Ltd., Chairman Chiao-Chang Huang of Tai Lung Corporation, CNAIC advisor Chi-Tai Feng, Secretary General Fan, and Deputy Secretary General Chiu, as well as three colleagues from JTEA.

Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) Visited CNAIC

Ms. Bonnie Glaser, Director of China Power Project of CSIS, Mr. Scott Kennedy, Deputy Director of Freeman Chair in China Studies of CSIS, and Amb. Derek Mitchell called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC on April 19, 2017. During the meeting, Secretary General Fan elaborated his views on the New Southbound Policy and how Taiwan and the United States can work together in Southeast Asia.

Vice President of Mongolian Employers’ Federation Visited CNAIC

Mr. Kh. Ganbaatar, Vice President of Mongolian Employers’ Federation, called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC on April 19, 2017. At the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening trade and investment relations between Taiwan and Mongolia.

Chairman Lin Hosted a Luncheon in Honor Swaziland Prime Minister

On March 29, 2017, Chairman Lin hosted a luncheon at The Sherwood Taipei in honor of Prime Minister Dr. Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini and his delegation from Swaziland. On this occasion, Chairman Lin commented that he will organize a business delegation this June to visit Swaziland to seek business opportunities. Prime Minister Dlamini welcomed Chairman Lin’s coming visit to Swaziland.

The Swaziland Delegation Visited Chairman Lin at Taiwan Glass Industry Corporation

Minister of Economic Planning and Development Prince Hlangusemphi Dlamini, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze and their delegation from Swaziland visited Chairman Lin at the head office of Taiwan Glass Industry Corporation on March 29, 2017. At the meeting, both sides exchanged view on ways to strengthen trade and investment relations between Taiwan and Swaziland.

Mr. Antonello Marega, President of the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI), called on Mr. Liang-Tung Fan, Secretary General of CNAIC, on February 15, 2017.
